About Course

The course “Gate Zero: Artificial Intelligence for Everyone” is designed to be a practical, clear, and user-friendly guide for organizational employees and curious individuals seeking to understand—whether for the first time or in greater depth – the evolving world of artificial intelligence.

Structured as a step-by-step journey, the course progresses through a series of “gates,” based on the belief that gradual exposure, with clear concepts, everyday examples, and real-world contexts, is the best way to make technological knowledge accessible and actionable.

Throughout the course, we explore key questions such as: What is artificial intelligence, really, and how is it evolving? What’s the difference between AI, ML, and DL? How are new tools impacting our work – now and in the future? What skills are needed to adapt to this shift? What are the risks, and what opportunities must we recognize in time?

The course is divided into six modules:
• What is AI – a shared language and key concepts
• Generative AI Revolution – practical understanding of modern tools
• AI at Work – opportunities, risks, and its impact on professions
• How AI Works (no coding required) – the principles of learning and prediction
• AI Tools for Daily Work – practical tools and tips to boost productivity
• The Future of AI – adopting technology ethically, wisely, and strategically

In addition to explanations, the course includes stories, real-life examples, common myths debunked, and reflective questions that help you rethink how you work, communicate, and grow in this new world.

No technical background is required.

Module 1: What is Artificial Intelligence?
This module provides an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), including a historical overview, fundamental concepts, and the differences between various types of AI. We will explore how AI already impacts our personal and professional lives, debunk common myths and misconceptions, and gain an accessible understanding of AI principles.

Module 2: Generative AI- The Generative AI Revolution
In this module, we will dive into the world of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) - one of the most significant technological revolutions of the decade. We will explore how advanced systems such as ChatGPT and DALL·E can generate text, images, video, and code. We will also examine their impact on workflows in organizations, along with the ethical, legal, and practical challenges involved in their integration.

Module 3: AI at Work- Opportunities and Risks
In this module, we examine how artificial intelligence is transforming the world of work across a range of industries - from healthcare and education to transportation and finance. We will explore its influence on decision-making, automation, and the evolving role of human expertise in a technologically advanced era. In addition, we will discuss the ethical and regulatory aspects of using AI and learn how to implement it responsibly, thoughtfully, and effectively within organizations.

Module 4: How AI works (without code)
In this module, we will go behind the scenes of artificial intelligence systems to understand how they learn, make predictions, and arrive at decisions. We will explore how AI models are built using data, what differentiates the training phase from the prediction phase, and why it is so important to understand their limitations. We will also examine common errors in AI systems- when they result from problematic data, and when from a lack of real understanding of context or ethics. In addition, we will highlight notable successes and failures from recent years and introduce the “black box” problem- where it is impossible to explain how a model reached a specific decision.

Module 5: AI Tools for Everyday Work
In this module, we will explore how to integrate artificial intelligence into daily organizational routines- not as a theoretical concept, but as a practical work tool. We will learn how AI helps streamline daily tasks such as managing emails, meetings, and documentation. We will examine how it transforms marketing, HR, and finance operations. This module offers a critical approach to technology integration- one that doesn’t just ask, “What’s the newest tool?” but rather, “What will actually help me at work?” We will cultivate a new digital mindset, learn how to recognize opportunities, and understand how AI can save time, improve output, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Module 6: The Future of AI – What’s Next?
In this module, we look ahead: where is artificial intelligence heading, and how will it impact us as employees, organizations, and individuals? We will explore what it means for systems to learn, improve themselves, and potentially make complex decisions independently in the future. We will examine shifts in the labor market - which roles are likely to disappear, which new ones may emerge, and how we can prepare. We'll also address new challenges: can AI be taught ethics? Emotions? Responsibility? And what is our role in relation to systems that understand context but not necessarily values?
